A low-pressure system over France will transport moist air masses from the southwest toward the Alps.
During the course of the day, precipitation will temporarily become less frequent and clearing will be possible, especially over the larger valleys. Towards evening, thundery showers from the south-west will move through again quite widely.
The mountains will be mostly covered in clouds and thundery showers will pass through already in the morning. The second half of the day will remain unsettled with further precipitation, most likely towards the evening.

The day will be very cloudy with the first showers and isolated thunderstorms in the morning. In the afternoon, the precipitation will spread across most of the region.
The weather will gradually improve on Friday with a northerly foehn. It may still rain a little on the main Alpine ridge in the morning, then the clouds will clear and the weather will become quite sunny. The sun will shine widely on Saturday, with a slight increase in showers in the afternoon. Sunday will also bring sunny weather with isolated showers in the second half of the day. On Monday, there will initially be low stratus clouds in many valleys, followed by a mixture of sun and clouds.
